Hello Bomber Girl Fans.

Goal number one:
Finish my Bomber Girl T-shirt design and find a way to get them printed.
-The shirt has been designed with the new logo and I haven't finished the
-art end of it yet, but will within the next month.

I really hope my illustration and painting abilities have improved during
the hiatus. I've been really working hard at it.

Goal number two:
Begin working on finishing the backdrop art for Bomber Girl II poster.
-The model and crew I used for this particular shot put a lot of work into it and I
-at least need to see to it that it gets done so they can see their work.

Goal number three:
Continue adding and updating this site. I need to finish it out so everyone that -visits can have the full experience. There's nothing worse than a barely completed -web site. I need to stay on it till it's totally done. I hope I've rested enough for that.

Goal number four:
Commit to the commercialization of this web site. If I keep it as a hobby, that's exactly what it will remain. Instead, I will try to run it as a business and try to make an operating profit in order to keep it going (now that is a tall order in this economy).

Goal number five:
Try to finish answering all this e-mail. There's ton's of it.
I may drop the e-mail link for awhile till I catch up. Everyone deserves an answer.

Goal number six:
Do the site as I envision it. Nose art was pretty risque back in the world war II days, still it's important to preserve that raciness and at the same time, keep it from becoming what I would call more or less, an "adult site."

Goal number seven:
Even though the focus is on World War II, also include contemporary nose art not only from the United States, but from other countries as well.

Goal number eight:
Include lots of aircraft! I don't see myself as a good aircraft illustrator, but I
think I can make it more interesting. Your input will be appreciated.

Goal number nine:
Highlight one of the Bomber Girls.
It's nice to know a little about those models who have helped make this happen. I also hope that the photography will be good enough to compliment the models. And most important, the artwork must be world-class too. My pin-up page has been the most anticipated part of the web site and I still haven't figured out the format I want to use.

Goal ten:
Have fun! I think, somewhere down the line, I forgot I was doing this to have fun. Well, I think I've remembered now and will not forget this time. The mission, stick to my roots. Stay with the things that allowed me to do this in the first place. My love of Pin-Up art, comic books, special effects movies, airplanes and photography. Bomber Girl is the integration of all these hobbies channeled into one web site.

My hope is that I can do all this during the new year and finish the majority of it by fall so this site can go commercial 100%. I might as well make this a commercial site. No, I will not be charging some kind of membership. I just want to be able to concentrate on creating products for people to buy.

Nose Art Classifications

One of my goals has been to somehow create a database of nose art names and images. I don't know if it'll ever be accomplished, but I did come up with some categories to help with the classification of this art form. The categories are:

Pin Up Art
Cartoon Art
Chevrons
Graffiti
Pop Culture
Slogans

The categories will be linked with basic descriptions as soon as I come up with some satisfactory ones for myself.

I will try to use these as much as possible with identifying icons so the information will be consistent across the web site. If you have better ideas and suggestions please feel free to e-mail me and list them.

Thank you for your support.
